before i am to old to do so, i plan to…
travel the congo with a photojournalist and his documentary crew
ride a ferris wheel with helen mirren, in her hometown
dance with michael buble to his song “everything”
have my portrait taken by annie lebovitz
study feminism with gloria steinem
shoot craps with cher in las vegas
have a drink with uncle kracker in his favourite neighbourhood bar

Like many emerging writers, I have learned to celebrate my failures. As artists we have to. Failure becomes a form of motivation to a seasoned artist, where it might crush a young artist.
